This is a day about us.
About memory, language, music and the country that we carry within ourselves.

August 24 we invite you to spend Independence Day together - in Skhidnytsia, among the mountains, in the circle of loved ones, with Ukrainian music, live meetings and meanings that are felt especially acutely now.

The main event of the day is a concert by the band "Pyrig i Batig".

This is a project that returns a living sound to Ukrainian poetry. The band works with the words of legendary figures: Bohdan-Ihor Antonych, Vasyl Stus, Mykola Zerov, Pavlo Tychyna, Yevhen Pluzhnyk, Mykola Vorony and other Ukrainian authors and makes it so that people want to listen to poetry today.

In 2024 their song "Gai Shumlyat" with words by Pavlo Tychyna, after decades, gained new popular recognition and popularity. In the same year, the band released the first part of the triptych "Zamordovani. Podzvin Persy" - an album with texts by Ukrainian artists who were destroyed by the Soviet regime. And the collection "Kolyadnytskyi" with 12 carols from different regions of Ukraine once again showed how different and lively our sound can be.

"Pie and Batig" performed in Ukraine and abroad: from small local communities and de-occupied villages to the large stages of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the Lviv Philharmonic and the International Center for Music and Drama in Kyiv.

That is why we wanted them to perform on Independence Day at the Crona Hotel & Spa.
